Patent Quality Chat - Webcast

Join us at the Silicon Valley USPTO office in San Jose to view the Patent Quality Chat webinar simulcast from USPTO headquarters.  This month's chat will discuss a survey where “Examiners Provide Their Views on Prepared Applications.”  USPTO has recently completed an application readiness survey by polling examiners to investigate attributes, which are integral to a patent application, that enhance the ability of examiners to efficiently and effectively do their job.  Particular features in filed specifications, claims and IDS documents were considered; and examiners across disciplines and experience levels commented on how these features helped or hindered their review of patent applications.  Application readiness experts will be discussing the survey results and want to hear your ideas about how USPTO can help you improve the quality of incoming patent applications.

We look forward to hearing your feedback about how the data collected from our application readiness survey can better assist your patent prosecution.  Please send your input and questions to patentquality@uspto.gov(link sends e-mail) before and during the event.

After the webinar, a Silicon Valley USPTO resource supervisory patent examiner will lead a discussion.

The content of this event is for someone with intermediate to advanced knowledge of the patent system.
