Comments on Request for Comments on Enhancement in the Quality of Patents

On or prior to June 23, 2010, the organizations and persons listed below have submitted comments in response to the Request for Comments on Enhancement in the Quality of Patents, first published in the Federal Register at 74 Fed. Reg. 65093 (December 9, 2009) and then published in the Official Gazette at 1350 Off. Gaz. Pat. Office 46 (January 5, 2010). The USPTO has extended the comment period and will accept comments that are received on or before June, 18, 2010.

The USPTO originally extended the comment period to March 8, 2010. See the notice titled Extension of Period for Comments on Enhancement in the Quality of Patents, published in the Federal Register at 75 Fed. Reg. 5040 (February 1, 2010). The USPTO subsequently extended the comment period to June 18, 2010. See the notice titled Notice of Roundtables and Request for Comments on Enhancement in the Quality of Patents and on United States Patent and Trademark Office Patent Quality Metrics, first published in the Federal Register at 75 Fed. Reg. 22120 (April 27, 2010) and then published in the Official Gazette at 1354 Off. Gaz. Pat. Office 174 (May 18, 2010). Comments received in response to the notice first published April 27, 2010, will be denoted with an asterisk(*).

It is hoped that the public will review this list of comments submitted on or prior to June, 23, 2010, to determine if it is complete.
