San Diego Intellectual Property Series 2017: Trademark Basics

Trademark Basics - What Every Small Business Should Know Now, Not Later

Join Fab Lab San Diego, San Diego Public Library and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), for the second installment of the 2017 Intellectual Property Series. Jason Lott, USPTO Attorney Advisor for Trademark Education Outreach, will present the basics of trademarks, how they differ from patents, copyrights, domain and business names,  and answer your questions. You'll also learn how to select a trademark that is federally registrable and legally protectable, which can be your business's most valuable asset.

This series supports entrepreneurs, innovators, and makers in the San Diego area, offering instructional seminars about developing and protecting intellectual property. Learn how both contribute to innovation and a potential successful startup.
